शहरातील थायरोकेअर पॅथॉलॉजी लॅबकडून कोरोनाच्या RTPCR चाचणीसाठी रुग्णांकडून जादा दराने पैसे घेऊन पिळवणूक होत असल्याची माहिती नांदेड जिल्हा प्रशासनास मिळाली. मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी संबंधित लॅबोरेटरीवर छापा टाकला आणि लॅबोरेटरीला सील ठोकले.
त्यावर महापालिका वैद्यकीय अधिकारी डॉ. सुरेशसिह बिसेन यांच्या तक्रारीवरून थायरोकेअर लॅब ने 8 रुग्णांकडून कोविड आरटीपीसीआर चाचणी साठी 16 हजार रुपये घेतल्याचे निष्पन्न झाले. एकूणच सरकारने निश्चित केलेल्या दरापेक्षा जास्तीची रक्कम थायरोकेअर ने घेतली आहे. त्यानुसार आरोपी शशिकांत चंद्रकात शेळके व आनंद राजाभाऊ बोकन यांच्यावर वाजीराबाद पोलिसांनी गुन्हा क्रमांक 116/2021भारतीय दंड संहितेच्या कलम 188, आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन कायद्याच्या कलम 51 (ब )आणि साथरोग प्रतिबंधक कायदा 1897 च्या कलम 3 नुसार गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आलाय.
थायरोकेअर पॅथॉलॉजी लॅबकडून कोरोनाच्या चाचणीसाठी रुग्णांकडून अतिरिक्त रुपये घेण्यात येत असल्याची माहिती जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांना मिळाली होती. त्यानुसार जिल्हाधिकारी डॉ .विपीन इटनकर हे शनिवारी रात्री 9 वाजण्याच्या सुमारास डॉक्टर लेन येथील थायरोकेअर पॅथॉलॉजी लॅबवर महापालिकेच्या डॉ. सुरेशसिंह बिसेन यांच्या वैद्यकीय पथकासह पोहचले. तपासणी दरम्यान समोर आलेल्या अभिलेखानुसार सरकारने आरटीपीसीआर या कोविड तपासणीचा दर 600 रुपये निश्चित केला असतांना थायरोकेअर लॅब मात्र रुग्णांनकडून 2000 रुपये दराने रुग्णांची तपासणी करून लूट करत असल्याचे निदर्शनास आले.
